vande guroh shri-charanaravindam

The spiritual master is receiving benediction from the ocean of mercy. Just as a cloud pours water on a forest fire to extinguish it, so the spiritual master delivers the materially afflicted world by extinguishing the blazing fire of material existence. I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual master, who is an ocean of auspicious qualities.

-Sri Sri Gurvashtaka by Srila Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakura

Samsara (səm-sär’ə):

n.  Sanskrit saṃsāraḥcourse of life, samsara : samtogether

The cycle of reincarnation (sometimes referenced as a wheel) of birth and death and birth and death.

I’m hanging onto this wheel so tightly, being afraid of the ground beneath. The problem is that I want to get off — I want to jump off — but I am still finding trouble accepting that the ground is settled underneath me.

No need to jump anywhere, just sit down and chant the holy name without disruption….try to start 32. Without interruption… No need to jump or escape.
